Laryssa comes to town!

Laryssa came back to Hemet with her Grandma & uncle after all her graduation festivities. We got to see her a couple of different times & spent a day just messing around at the beach! It is hard to imagine her all grown up and heading off to join the army when she is digging for sand crabs with the best of the 5 years olds. Squealing just as loudly (if not louder) when she found a big one! I did learn that my picture camera takes videos. The hard way. Tits up!!

TA DA!!!!!

TaDa!!!!! Done. Dry. Felt dots on corners in place. Granite sealed! Hated the smell of the granite sealer, but it is what people swear by, so I sucked it up. Why? Apparently it not only hurts to be beautiful, it stinks to! If you look down the center of the granite you will see the line between the sealed (left) and unsealed (right) I'm not sure which side I prefer, so however it turns out, I will love it!

my cupboards are done!! my cupboards are done!! i can close them tomorrow night after i put the felt things on them. then i will take pictures!! i'm very excited about this!! i went and picked paint swatches tonight & will study them closely this weekend. what a fun memorial day weekend i have planned, painting my kitchen..... then just the lights & the microwave are left to put inplace--after the dry wall is fixed and painted also. does the list seem to be never ending???

Cell phone funeral...

I had a funeral for my suicidal cell phone tonight. It lept off my ear/shoulder prop to dive into the toilet. While I was talking to my mom. They made it to Nebraska ok. The cell phone insurance company is really easy to file a claim with. Good to know. I am in for a quite weekend.

Gas ovens!!!

So I go to preheat my oven to cook my favorite CPK Bbq chicken frozen pizza & the stinking thing won't light. How do you turn the gas back on-- WHICH THE CONTRACTORS DID NOT DO-- without blowing up your house? Where do you look these things up?? grr....

Phase 2 is COMPLETE!!

So Today I came home & they were finishing the tile work on the floor & the counter tops!! All done and ready to be sealed in a few days!! Oh the exciting things I get to do... If you look close you can see the glitter in the quartz finish on the sink! I got a glitter sink!!! Now I need to get the lights up, the drywall in the ceiling fixed, then paint the walls & have the cupboards done. That will be the truly final step!! I can't wait to be 100% done with it all!! This weekend we are concentrating on getting the dust somewhat cleaned up. It seems to have permeated the entire house. Except Delaney's room. How does that work? She has no more then the normal amounts of dust!! geez!!!
